And what
an experience it turned out to be, for us and the dogs, who
somewhat confused at first, but quickly adapted to what was required
of them. Did they enjoy it? I think they did, they certainly enjoyed
the attention they got from everybody including Lara Croft {Angelina
Jolie}.
0ur dogs were Angelina's team and they did her proud, she saved the
world and they saved her, you will see what I mean when you see the
film. We were lucky enough to be invited to a cast and crew screening
in London, that will remain one of our unforgettable experience's. Bowie
and Odin also feature in the Siberian scenes with the illuminati soldiers.
They were brilliant, the dogs that is, they got everything right, more
or less first time. We have never won a race but by heck we got this
one right.
Our grandsons Luke and Carl spent a couple of really enjoyable days
on set they helped out with the dogs and met Angelina, she signed play
station games and photo's for them. They visited her in her trailer
and saw some of the day’s shoots. Hugh also got a signed photo
– “To Hughie and the Huskies with Love”, he liked that!
Hugh managed to get himself run over by a quad bike, well there was
nowhere to go in the ice tunnels apart from up the wall! He tried that
but unfortunately could not stay up there long enough for the quad bike
and all the equipment to pass by. The cameras were rolling so Paramount
Pictures has it all on film Hugh had a few bumps and bruises, a nice
young nurse was sent to check, him out, he liked that too!
We would not have missed this for the world. It's not everyday that
you get to mix with Hollywood stars never mind work with them for weeks
on end, almost three months in total. Consequently Hugh is ready to
quit the plumbing for the movie business
